OUR STORY
Data science is becoming increasingly critical to discovery and innovation. Multiple sectors of the global and regional economy, including energy, aerospace and defense, health care, logistics, agriculture, and social service delivery, are increasingly driven by investments in fundamental and applied research in data science, artificial intelligence, and machine learning. The University of Oklahoma is redefining the landscape of data science research and data-driven solutions. OU’s Data Institute for Societal Challenges (DISC) is accelerating data science research, preparing students for productive careers in this field, and raising Oklahoma’s prominence as a hub for data science innovation.
OU's Data Institute for Societal Challenges Corporate Consortium Program will accelerate integrative data-enabled research and prepare the workforce needed to ensure the ability to attract and retain the next generation of scientists and engineers.
DISC’s corporate partners program builds mutually beneficial partnerships between OU’s data science community and industry. Corporate partners will have opportunities to build collaborations with DISC researchers, recruit DISC student members for internships and employment, advise DISC’s priorities, and benefit from affiliation with our fast-growing institute of excellence.
Corporate partners may establish partnership with DISC through an annual gift of $50,000. SBIR-eligible small businesses may be eligible for a reduced gift of $25,000 annually.
