Student Elective/Sub-Internship Rotations:

As a fourth year medical student, we realize that your time is valuable. We have designed our clerkship opportunities to allow our students a chance to experience different segments of general surgery and selected academic conferences.  Academic conferences include Morbidity and Mortality Conference, Grand Rounds, and faculty led discussion of the assigned American College of Surgeons’ SCORE reading program. In addition to flexible scheduling, students will have the option of choosing the type of rotation that interests them most.

Surgery Elective Opportunities Include:

Option #1: 4 weeks of general surgery

Option #2: 2 weeks of general surgery; 2 weeks of trauma critical care surgery

Option #3: 2 weeks of general surgery; 2 weeks of vascular surgery
