We welcome our home OU students (from both the Tulsa and OKC campuses) as well as visiting students for our 4-week Emergency Medicine rotation. Our typical 4-week block consists of 15 shifts at our main teaching hospital, Hillcrest Medical Center. Students attend our department’s weekly didactics sessions on Thursday mornings and have an additional series of student-focused lectures given by faculty and residents throughout the month.
OU students will find our rotation listed in their course catalogue under ‘Selectives’ (EM 9101). We encourage students seeking an away rotation to apply using the AAMC Visiting Student Learning Opportunities site.
Rotation dates for 4th year students visiting from other institutions begin in July and end in November.
