Monthly to Biweekly Pay Transition
Timeline:
The timeline below considers a number of factors that minimize the impact to employees:
- November 2023: New salaried 12-month employees hired into biweekly payroll group (includes GAs and other salaried students), instead of hiring them in as monthly paid employees
- April 2024: Transition salaried staff and 12-month academic appointments
- July 2024: Transition graduate assistants and other salaried student positions
- August 2024: Transition 9-month academic positions (includes 9/9 and 9/12 faculty)

April 2024 Transition - Staff and 12-month Academic Positions:
- 4/20/24: The first biweekly pay period begin date
- 4/30/24: Last monthly paycheck for April 1st – 19th
- 5/3/24: Leave conversion payout (up to 80 hours)
- 5/17/24: First biweekly paycheck for the pay period 04/20/24 -05/03/24

July 2024 Transition - Graduate Assistants & Monthly Paid Students:
- 06/30/24: Last monthly paycheck for full month of June
- 07/01/24: The first biweekly pay period begin date
- 07/26/24: First biweekly paycheck for the pay period 06/29/24 - 07/12/24

August 2024 Transition - 9-month faculty:

9/9 Positions:
- 05/31/24: Last monthly paycheck for approximately half month of May and last paycheck of the 2023-2024 contract cycle
- 08/10/24: First biweekly pay period begins
- 09/06/24: First biweekly paycheck for the pay period 08/10/24 - 08/23/24 and the first paycheck of the 2024-2025 contract cycle
9/12 Positions - Contract Renews 8/1:
- 07/31/24: Last regular monthly paycheck for last payment of 2023-2024 contract
- 08/10/24: First biweekly pay period begins for the 2024-2025 academic payroll cycle
- 08/23/24: First biweekly paycheck for the 2024-2025 contract pay cycle for your pay group (9/12 faculty with contract renewal date of 08/01)
- 09/06/24: Second biweekly paycheck for the pay period 08/10/24 - 08/23/24
9/12 Positions - Contract Renews 8/16:
- 08/10/24: First biweekly pay period begins
- 08/16/24: Last monthly paycheck for approximately half month of August and last paycheck of the 2023-2024 contract cycle
- 09/06/24: First biweekly paycheck for the pay period 08/10/240 - 08/23/24 and first paycheck of the 2024-2025 contract cycle
