OU Students Sweep Broadcast Education Awards

March 31, 2025

University of Oklahoma students and faculty represented the university well in the recent Broadcast Education Association Festival of Media Arts. Broadcasting students in the Gaylord College of Journalism and Mass Communication and the College of Atmospheric and Geographic Sciences together had 34 winning entries, matching the record-breaking results of 2024.

Gaylord College Announces 2024 Lumine Lifetime Achievement Award Recipient Nia T. Hill

The Gaylord College of Journalism and Mass Communication has announced Nia T. Hill, an award-winning writer, director, producer, and entrepreneur, as the recipient of the 2025 Lumine Lifetime Achievement Award. The award, presented annually by Gaylord College, honors media professionals who have made significant and sustained contributions to the industry while championing issues related to the unique challenges experienced by women in media.

In its rankings of student achievements, the Broadcast Education Association has recognized the Gaylord College of Journalism and Mass Communication at the University of Oklahoma as the No. 2 program in the country out of 170 member institutions nationwide.
