Gaylord Rt. 66 Summer Road Trip

Gaylord College is working with the Oklahoma Rt. 66 Centennial Commission to develop a comprehensive campaign to celebrate Oklahoma's iconic Mother Road as it turns 100 in 2026. As part of the students' historic role in this initiative, they will develop PR and advertising campaigns, create videos and social media campaigns, uncover underrepresented stories and promote this once-in-a-lifetime celebration.

The University of Oklahoma Gaylord College of Journalism and Mass Communication has been recognized as one of the top media programs in the country, according to the 2024 Broadcast Education Association school rankings.

OU Names New Dean of the Gaylord College of Journalism and Mass Communication

The University of Oklahoma announced today the appointment of Andrea Miller as dean of the Gaylord College of Journalism and Mass Communication and holder of the Sue Rainbolt Van Natta Chair in Journalism, pending OU Board of Regents’ approval.

In its rankings of student achievements, the Broadcast Education Association has recognized the Gaylord College of Journalism and Mass Communication at the University of Oklahoma as the No. 2 program in the country out of 170 member institutions nationwide.
