2025 OMS Spring Meeting

Save the date! 2025 OMS Spring Meeting set Friday April 18th in the OU Forum building

Join us in Norman for the Oklahoma Microscopy Society spring meeting, 'A year of Firsts for Oklahoma Electron Microscopy'!

Dr. Peter Ercius, the Interim Director of the National Center for Electron Microscopy is the Keynote speaker, and we’re hoping to do tours of our new Tundra cryo-TEM and JEOL aberration-corrected STEM labs, in addition to committed faculty talks by Oklahoma leaders in these areas: Dr. Rakhi Rajan, Dr. Iman Ghamarian, and Dr. Ritesh Sachan. There will be vendors displaying the latest innovations in microscopy available for discussions. Most importantly, students can submit abstracts to compete for the Timpano award, offering the winner funds to attend the national Microscopy and Microanalysis Conference, a student poster session with cash prizes, and a Best Micrograph Contest, also with cash prizes.

See okmicroscopy.org for additional details and to register.

The Oklahoma Microscopy Society is a Local Affiliated Society of the Microscopy Society of America. Interested students should inquire about MSA with Mason Rhue, current OU student and member of the MSA Student Council - also a former OMS Timpano Award winner.
