ACT on Campus Residual Exams

ACT on Campus Residual Exam

Brand divider line.

The ACT On Campus Residual Exam is a standardized test to measure student readiness for entry-level college placement. The ACT on Campus Residual Testing Program is provided for participating colleges that wish to administer the ACT to their enrolled or admitted (or in the proof of being admitted) students who were unable to test on a national test date.

The ACT On Campus exam is provided so ACT-participating colleges can administer the ACT to enrolled, admitted, or applicant students who were UNABLE to test on a National ACT Exam date in time to meet enrollment deadlines at OU. Individuals who wish to take the ACT On-Campus Exam at the OU Testing Center must have submitted a current application to OU before registering to take the exam. Results are reported only to OU.  No High School Reports are generated, and no additional Score Reports will be generated to report scores to any other institution.

If a National ACT Exam date is available between the time a student calls and the student's expected semester of enrollment, the student will not be able to schedule an appointment to take the ACT On-Campus Exam but will instead be directed to take the National ACT Exam.  Appointments will only be scheduled for students after all available National ACT Exam dates have passed.  Scheduling dates are subject to change.

Scheduling

To register for the ACT On Campus Residual Exam, use the Schedule Your Exam button below and pay the $100 fee online.

Schedule Your Exam

No ACT On Campus exams are being scheduled until Spring 2025.

Cost & Registration

Space is limited, so it is best to register as soon as possible before all the available slots are taken. The cost of the exam is $100, and it is non-refundable.

Score Reports

Upon completion, exams are hand-graded, and students are emailed an unofficial copy two to three days after testing. Those exam scores are sent to OU Admissions and Recruitment. The exams are mailed back to ACT for official scoring, and those score reports are sent directly to OU Admissions and Recruitment. However, depending on the semester time frame, please expect a six to eight-week delay in score reports.

Oklahoma State Regent Policy

Students may only take the ACT on Campus Residual Exam once during the academic year at any one institution in which the respective ACT on Campus Residual Exam is valid (August 15 through September 28 the following year). The test date shall not coincide with a national ACT test date. Scores will be canceled, and no refunds will be provided for violations of this policy.

Students may take the ACT no more than 12 times in total. In addition to the Regent's policy above, a minimum of 60 days must pass before repeat residual testing. If you choose to test without sixty days elapsing, your score will be canceled, and no refund will be provided.

Students are encouraged to participate in the national ACT test dates.
