I joined the faculty at OU-Tulsa in 2002, where I have worked as a clinical psychologist, and primary care researcher.  I became the Director of Research for the department in 2011. Our department’s research staff supports scholarly activity for all residents and many faculty, and have been actively leading collaborative projects on ACEs with partners from OU-Tulsa and nation-wide.  Our research team also has been leading a community-based participatory research program on Aging in Place.  I have been the Director of Behavioral Health for the residency curriculum since 2017. I enjoy spending time with my husband Rob who is Director of Industrial/Organizational Psychology at University of Tulsa.  We have two kids in college and one daughter who attends Booker T Washington High School.  Our five pets – two dogs and three cats - are all rescues.

Why OU-Tulsa: The department and school are on the leading edge of medical research and scholarly activities to improve the health of communities. It is a unique and exciting opportunity to be a part of innovation within medicine. My position allows me to take full advantage of my skills as a scientist-practitioner in health psychology, a challenge which I thoroughly enjoy. What truly distinguishes our department is its heart and soul; the staff, providers, residents and faculty who are caring, dedicated, collegial and hard-working professionals.  Similarly, our colleagues within the School of Community and OU-Tulsa are wonderful professionals with whom collaboration and teamwork has been second to none.
