Residency Training: Hendersonville MAHEC Family Medicine Residency, Hendersonville, North Carolina
Special Interests: Women’s Health, Global Medicine
After finishing my residency in Brazil in Family and Community medicine, I worked in a small community in Brazil as faculty. I then got married, moved to the US, and completed a family medicine residency in Hendersonville, North Carolina. Teaching residents and students is always in my heart, and when learning of OU-Tulsa, I decided to join the team in 2016. I love working with students and residents! With my previous experience in community medicine, OU-Tulsa fits well with my career path. My areas of interest are women’s health, global health, and medical education. I’m also involved with WONCA (world organization of family doctors), where I coordinate the FM360 exchange program globally.
Why OU-Tulsa: Tulsa is a great place to live! I was very surprised when I moved here. The city is great - especially the people. Everybody is so nice! I love to go to concerts with my husband, and Tulsa is a hot spot! Working in a university where the focus is community is great, and OU-Tulsa is the right place for me!
