Cara joined the ECEI in August 2024 as a postdoctoral research fellow and was promoted to her current position in April 2025. As a senior research associate, she works with both the Educare Implementation Study and the CAP Tulsa Research Partnership, publishes peer-reviewed articles, collaborates on funding development, and leads her current ACF grant, "A Systematic Examination of Historical Changes in Head Start's Population and Developmental Trajectories."
