Gibbs Construction Science and Architecture students recently represented The University of Oklahoma at the Associated Schools of Construction Region 5/TEXO student competition in Dallas-Fort Worth, and secured first place in the Design-Build, International Design-Build, and Open Commercial categories.

Construction Science Professor Receives Outstanding Educator Award

Matt Reyes, associate professor of Construction Science, was recently recognized at the 60th Annual Associated Schools of Construction (ASC) International Conference. Reyes received the 2024 ASC Regional Outstanding Educator Award, which recognizes the top educator in ASC Region V.

Gibbs Students Travel to Dallas for Interdisciplinary Field Trip

On April 6, third-year Construction Science, Architecture and Interior Design students travelled to Dallas for an interdisciplinary field trip. The students got to learn from industry professionals and gain hands on experience at a construction job site and architecture office.

Construction Science Faculty Publishes Research on Strategic Plans

OU Construction Science Associate Professor Matthew Reyes and his Auburn colleague Ben Farrow recently had an article published in the International Journal of Construction Education and Research. This journal publishes original works that address current construction-related issues across the globe.
