Construction Science associate professors Matthew Reyes (left) and Somik Ghosh (right) have been awarded $29,982 for a one-year project sponsored by the Southern Plains Transportation Center.
When submitting a proposal for a project with the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) contractors must include a Project Management Plan (PMP) to demonstrate how they will successfully execute the project. Reyes & Ghosh will analyze archival data, current practices, and existing literature to develop a framework for PMPs to be used specifically on Accelerated Bridge Construction (ABC) projects.
They will then meet with the Oklahoma Department of Transportation and industry professionals to validate the framework. The resulting fine-tuned framework will be a tool for project teams to guide the development of their PMPs for ABC projects.
