OU Construction Science Associate Professor Matthew Reyes and his Auburn colleague Ben Farrow recently had an article published in the International Journal of Construction Education and Research. This journal publishes original works that address current construction-related issues across the globe.
The article, titled Land-grant University Strategic Plans: Are University-level Service-learning Goals Aligned with Construction Programs’ Goals?, is an investigation into the goals of service-learning and how they align in the strategic plans of universities, colleges, and departments. Service-learning is an educational approach that integrates relevant community service activities into the learning curriculum.
Reyes and Farrow used a mixed methods approach to identify opportunities for strengthening strategic plans in order to achieve the goals these educational institutions aim to accomplish.
Associate Professors Lee Fithian, Ph.D., and Elizabeth Pober have published a chapter in the recently released New Perspectives in Indoor Air Quality, published by Elsevier. Their contribution, titled “Chapter 16 – Architecture and the Challenges of Indoor Air Quality,” examines the relationship between architecture and indoor air quality.
