Gaylord College Career & Internship Fair

Join us March 28 from 1 to 3 p.m. in Gaylord Hall for our 2023 career and internship fair. All grades are welcomed, and we hope to see you there!

Before the Event

  • Make sure to build your Handshake profile to ensure your name tag at the event is printed with the correct information (name, major and graduation year)
  • Create a resume and have it critiqued by the career center, schedule an appointment for resume feedback here
  • Look through Handshake to view all the companies planning to attend the event
  • Call the career center with any questions at (405) 325-1974

Day of the Event

  • Dress in business professional attire
  • Bring printed copies of your resume to hand out
  • Be prepared to introduce yourself and network with businesses professionals who want to recruit YOU

More on Interviews

As some recruiters and employers may not be in attendance at the career fair, you can upload your resume and apply for specific interviews with companies that interest you under the “Interviews” section online. These companies are still interested in hiring Gaylord students for internships and full-time positions. You will be notified by Handshake via email if you are chosen for an interview, and you can refer back to Handshake to sign up for an interview time. 

About the Career Center

The OU Career Center is a service available at all times to all students and alumni that you can take advantage of even if you are not attending the career fair. From reviewing resumes to holding mock interviews, the Career Center is a one-stop shop dedicated to helping students with career readiness. It provides key resume and cover letter tips if you need help getting started on building your personal brand for potential employers. Whether you are a freshman or senior graduating in May, the Career Center is beneficial for all emerging communications and business professionals.
