The School of Electrical and Computer Engineering offers undergraduate and graduate degrees in electrical engineering and in computer engineering.

Our dedicated faculty is committed to providing programs of the highest quality. The efforts of our faculty have resulted in a high level of productivity. In 2007, research expenditures topped $5.17 million with support from a variety of sources including National Science Foundation (NSF), National Institutes of Health (NIH) and the U.S. Department of Transportation and with major contribution such as Biomedical Engineering, Instrumentation & Control, Solid State, Transportation, Display Technology. Sponsorship includes the Oklahoma Center for Advancement of Science and Technology (OCAST) with regional industrial partners.

The School of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Oklahoma is one of the largest programs in the Gallogly College of Engineering. There are currently about 503 undergraduate and 158 graduate students served by 23 faculty members on the Norman campus as well as four faculty members on the Tulsa campus.

Graduate degrees include the M.S. and Ph.D. in electrical and computer engineering and the M.S. in telecommunications systems. Electrical Engineering has been a part of the University of Oklahoma since 1906. In 1996, we introduced the Computer Engineering undergraduate program and the graduate Telecommunications program. Over the years, we have provided curricula that focus on strong fundamentals with opportunities for specialization in areas of emerging interest.
