Room Reservations



The following is a list of buildings with room descriptions that include available technology. Please submit your room reservation request using the linked form below. This does not mean that the room is reserved, simply that your request has been forwarded to the appropriate person in the building you select. At that point, you will need to allow 24 hours (Mon.-Fri.) for a response.

Carson Engineering Center

The Carson Engineering Center offers three seminar rooms and can accommodate small group meetings.  The rooms contain a variety of amenities tailored to aid in the communication of ideas both in the room and far away.  In addition, we also offer a computer lab equipped with the latest technology that can host meetings and study sessions.

Location: CEC 100, First Floor, East

Integrated AV & Tech: Projectors/Digital Screens

The Anadarko Seminar room can normally hold 24 people for a conference, but with tables removed, 50 chairs can be set up for a seminar (there are extra chairs in a hidden back closet).  The room is equipped with a whiteboard, a projector and screen, two digital screens, telephone conferencing, as well as a hookup for laptops at the front.  The room is ideal for meetings and seminars involving digital documents and graphics for easy viewing and communication.

These two computer labs are equipped with current OU technology and software.  In addition, the room has a projector with screen and a whiteboard for each computer lab.  The rooms can be separated or combined by use of a partition screen, however the partition screen is not sound-proof and so consideration should be given when planning your event.

This room may only be reserved by Faculty, Staff, and Student Organizations.
No food is allowed in this room.

The Civil Engineering and Environmental Science Conference Room can hold up to 21 people for meetings, with ten chairs at the table and eleven chairs along the wall.  The room is equipped with a projector, digital screen, whiteboard, and podium as well as Polycom video conferencing technology.  This room is ideal for smaller meetings and conferences involving digital documents and graphics for easy viewing and communication.

This room may only be reserved by Faculty and Staff.  No food is allowed in the room.
 

Devon Energy Hall

The Devon Energy Hall offers a multitude of rooms to fit the needs of your event.  We have team rooms and conference rooms to host group meetings as well as forums for larger groups.  We also have a large outdoor terrace for receptions.

These small team rooms all contain a small hexagon table with chairs surrounding it.  While there is no technology present in the room, each room does come equipped with a whiteboard.  These rooms are best suited for small group gatherings and study sessions.

This larger conference room contains six rectangular tables, a counter, sink, and several leather chairs with a large round ottoman.  The furniture can be arranged for a variety of events as well as removed for seminars.  The rooms come equipped with a projector and screen, two LED screens, and a laptop hookup.  These rooms are best suited for large conferences, seminars, and receptions.

This large conference room contains 7 rectangular tables, sink, counter, and an under-counter refrigerator.  There are 20 chairs at the table with 10 more chairs around the wall.  The room contains a LED screen, whiteboard, projector with screen, and a speaker phone system for conference calls.  This room is mainly used for conferences though it can be used for seminars and lunch-ins.

This room may only be reserved by Faculty and Staff.

Reception Capacity: 125

This large outdoor terrace on the fifth floor Devon Energy Hall.  The area has wooden tables and chairs that seat up to 125 guests.  The terrace also connects to DEH 526 and DEH 545, both large team rooms (DEH 526 also has a sink and microwave).  This space is used mainly for large receptions and parties.

This space is open from 8:00am to 5:00pm, Monday through Friday, for individual use by GCoE students, faculty, and staff via card swipe.  All after-hour use will require a reservation.

The terrace can only be reserved by faculty and staff.  Student orgs can only host events during normal business hours with a faculty/staff member present.  All after-hours events will require the event coordinator to checkout a key with the Dean's Office (CEC 107).

Reception Capacity: Public Space

This is a public space on the first floor, pedestrian traffic may not be restricted by any event that is held here. The total capacity depends on seating and table arrangement.  Rugs must be removed, protected, or covered if food and/or beverages are to be served. 

Groups must make their own arrangements with Facilities Management to move or remove furniture and rugs.  We ask that you obtain confirmation of your reservation from Devon Energy Hall staff before working with Facilities Management.

Devon Energy Hall Classrooms

In addition to the various team rooms and reception areas, Devon Energy Hall also allows reservations for several classrooms.  Each classroom has a different layout to meet the needs of your next training or lecture.

This classroom seats 71 comfortably stadium style with fixed tables and chairs on tiers.  The room is programmed with standard university classroom technology in the podium, dual projectors with screens fixed above the whiteboards, and a document camera.  The room has technology that can support distance learning.

Food is not allowed in this room.

This class room is equipped with movable hexagon-shaped tables with moveable chairs that allow 60 to be seated comfortably.  The room is programmed with standard university classroom technology in the podium, dual projectors with drop down screens on either end of the room, and three wall-sized whiteboards.

Rawl Engineering Practice Facility

The Rawl Engineering Practice Facility has two rooms available for reservation.  The first is a large team room for meetings.  The second is the multipurpose room that can host meetings, seminars, and more with flexible furniture arrangement in a large space.

This room seats 60 with ten hexagon-shaped tables seating six. Room can be reconfigured to hold 60 with tables set up in rows (extra tables and chairs are available), however, the user is responsible for any changes to the layout. The room can also be set up seminar style for 100. Room has dual drop down screens and projectors with whiteboards. There is a small kitchen off room with both a dishwasher and a refrigerator.  This room is suited for conferences, seminars, receptions, and training.

This is a large team room that seats up to 12 people.  It is equipped with a plasma screen that can be hooked up to a laptop, a conference phone with adequate speakers, and a whiteboard.  This room is best suited to meetings and study sessions.

Gallogly Hall

Gallogly Hall has three rooms available for reservation.  The lecture hall is a large space suitable for large meetings and seminars while the two conference rooms are ideal for study sessions and conferences.

The ONEOK Student Conference Room can seat 32 people for meetings, with twenty-four chairs at the table and four benches along the side of the room.  The room is setup with Crestron Conference technology for video chats.  The room also contains a sink, counter, and mini-fridge.  This room is ideal for large meetings.

The Valero Lecture Hall can normally seat 116 people with tables and chairs.  The lecture hall is setup for active learning.  The room is equipped with Crestron AirMedia technology through use of the eight large digital screens throughout the room.  The room is also equipped with many mobile whiteboards, a document reader, and laptop hookup for presentations.  This room is ideal for large meetings and seminars.

While the room can hold 195 people with tables removed, they are bolted to the floor and must be properly removed/put back by Facilities Management. For seminar setup, groups will need to make their own arrangements with Facilities Management to remove tables and their reservations must include setup and reset time (24 hours before and after the event).  Before working with Facilities Management, please reserve the room and specify if you will need seminar capacity when submitting your reservation request.

The Bob and Chimene Burke Team Room can hold up to 19 people for meetings, with eleven chairs at the table and four benches along the wall.  The room is equipped with Crestron video conference technology through use of a large digital screen in the front of the room.  Additionally, laptops can be setup with Crestron to project on the large screen.  This room also contains counter space for food.  This room is best suited for conferences, meetings, and study sessions.

Only faculty and staff may reserve this room.

Dean Tom Landers Conference Room

Location: GLG 423, Fourth Floor, Northeast Corner

The Dean Landers Conference Room can hold up to 19 people for meetings, with eleven chairs at the table and four benches along the wall.  Additionally, laptops can be plugged in to project on the large screen.  This room also contains counter space for food.  This room is best suited for conferences, meetings, and study sessions.

Only faculty and staff may reserve this room.

Sarkeys Energy Center - CBME

The Sarkeys Energy Center offers three rooms for reservation through the Chemical, Biological, and Materials Engineering Department.  The conference rooms and board room allow groups of to meet, study, and collaborate.

These conference rooms can hold up to 25 people for conferences.  The room is equipped with desk plugs for laptops, a whiteboard, and a projector with screen (T-324 only) or a digital screen with laptop hookup (T-310 only).  These rooms are best suited for meetings, study sessions, and conferences.

This board room can hold up to 10 people for small conferences.  The room is equipped with a whiteboard, digital screen, and a place to hookup a laptop.  The room is located next to a computer lab, allowing for a quiet place to study or collaborate on projects.  This room is best suited for smaller meetings, study sessions, or group discussions.

Card swipe access or a key is required for after-hour reservations.

Engineering Quad (Outdoors)

The outdoor areas of the engineering campus can be reserved for special events.  All requests are processed through the Engineering Dean's Office.

Please note:

  • All reservations must be made by a faculty or staff member through the Room Reservation form.
  • For requests from RSOs, the advisor must be aware of and approve of the reservation.
  • All events must be in-compliance with OU's Special Events Policy.
    •     Any special events must be approved by Student Affairs through Engage.
  • Additional trash cans can be requested through Facilities Management.
