These are the prerequisites for enrollment in this course:

Academic requirement:
Graduate Standing at the University of Oklahoma

Minimum technical Requirements/Standards:
You must have continuing, guaranteed access to the Internet (at least 28.8 PPP modem access). You must have the most recent version of Netscape Navigator, Netscape Communicator, or Internet Explorer--it might be a good idea to have both Netscape and Internet Explorer (You may select one from the column on the left). You must have an email server and popmail client, as well as plugins or helper applications, that allow the handling of MIME (specifically, .rtf, .ppt, .tif, and .pdf files).

Harware/Software Recommendations:
You will find it difficult to complete the course successfully with anything less than a 486/66 microcomputer, at least 16 MB of RAM and plenty of hard disk space. Although software examples will be given in terms of the Windows 95 operating systems, students who feel competent to translate examples to their Macintosh systems may do so.

Minimum technical competencies:
You will need to know fundamental microcomputer software skills in terms of Windows; no instructor assistance will be given regarding Mac environments. You must have some experience in both sending and receiving e-mail and in using your recent-version-browser.
