Jack C. Montgomery VA Medical Center

The Jack C. Montgomery VAMC is part of the Eastern Oklahoma Health Care System, serving more than 52,000 Veterans in 25 counties in eastern Oklahoma every year.  The VA Health System offers numerous benefits to fellows. They gain exposure to complex vascular disease cases prevalent in the Veteran population and hands-on experience with healthcare delivery in a federal system. Fellows enjoy autonomy in patient care, decision-making, and supervised surgeries, and they have a direct influence in developing the VA’s endovascular program. Additionally, they participate in a multidisciplinary wound care clinic, including telemedicine, and have protected time for research and scholarly activities. Fellows also dedicate time to vascular lab study interpretation. The inclusion of the VA practice enhances weekly case conference discussions for all faculty and trainees.

St John Medical Center

St. John Medical Center serves as an ad hoc site for inpatient clinical care, featuring a 545-bed tertiary care center and an ACS level 2 trauma center.

Hillcrest Medical Center

Hillcrest Medical Center serves as an ad-hoc site tailored for our senior fellows to plan and implement complex cases. Cases are selected based on their educational value, providing exposure to a broader spectrum of both open and endovascular procedures. This experience complements their overall fellowship training.
