Our curriculum emphasizes excellence in patient outcomes and evidence-based care, comprehensive training for the fellows, and academic accomplishment and leadership. In order to prepare our fellows for independent practice we provide comprehensive and protected weekly didactics.
Vascular Fellowship Curriculum
Leadership
Our vascular surgery fellowship is dedicated to developing strong leaders who strive to enhance all facets of medicine. This focus is customized to align with each fellow’s interests and strengths. Over the course of two years, fellows build expertise in administrative, educational, and clinical team management as they train to become vascular surgeons. We believe this comprehensive approach facilitates a successful transition to independent practice, whether in an academic or private practice setting.
Clinical
OU Vascular Surgery offers a complex aortic program, the multidisciplinary OU Limb Preservation Clinic, a multimodality carotid and stroke center of excellence, a state-of-the-art dialysis program including the latest endovascular procedures, and a comprehensive vein center.
We offer trainees the breadth of vascular surgery, from bread-and-butter cases to new technology. On average, each fellow graduates with >1200 cases.
