Teaching Sites

The Schusterman Clinic is located on the OU-Tulsa main Schusterman campus at 41st & Yale, across from the Promenade Mall. The clinic opened in 2007 and houses Internal Medicine, OB/Gyn, Pediatrics, and Psychiatry outpatient clinics as well as in-house lab testing, radiology, and pharmacy services.

Our schedule is based on a 4+1 in which residents complete a 4 week rotation and then spend one week in our clinic.  Each resident has a panel of patients they are responsible for but also see walk-in and work with faculty patient panels as well. Each resident completes between 10 and 12 weeks each academic year. 

Hillcrest Medical Center is a 620-bed hospital among Oklahoma’s most widely respected and acclaimed hospitals, offering extraordinary care and a multitude of services in many areas including the state’s largest dedicated heart hospital.  It is located just outside downtown Tulsa and also partners with Utica Park Clinic to provide outpatient services.

St. John Medical Center is located in midtown Tulsa, across from the Utica Square shopping center. This 564 bed Catholic hospital functions as one of the major referral hospitals in northeastern Oklahoma and southeastern Kansas.

St John Medical Center is our home hospital and we have two inpatient teams, as well as numerous electives including cardiology, neurology, anesthesiology, palliative care and nephrology.

Saint Francis Hospital was founded by Mr. and Mrs. William K. Warren, Sr. in 1955 and opened its doors in 1960 in what was then the outskirts of Tulsa.  The hospital originally consisted of a six-story building with 275 acute-care beds and 40 newborn beds. It was dedicated on December 3, 1960, with His Eminence, Francis Cardinal Spellman, Archbishop of New York, officiating. In the same year, Mrs. Warren established the Saint Francis Auxiliary to serve the patients and staff.  We offer electives in sleep medicine, GI, allergy and dermatology at Saint Francis Health System.
