The OU-Tulsa President’s Office and OU-Tulsa Staff Senate are excited to welcome all OU-Tulsa faculty and staff back to campus the week of August 2, 2021. The committee has worked hard to create some fun opportunities for faculty and staff to reconnect with your colleagues and work friends.

How to get your T-shirt:

Bring your punch card with at least 5 punches to the OU-Tulsa marketing communication offices in the 3B hallway of the main administration building from 9 am until 4 pm on Friday, Aug. 6 or Monday, Aug. 9 to get your t-shirt. Quantities and sizes are limited. Only one shirt per person and you must pick up your own shirt. Email ou-tulsanews@ouhsc.edu with any questions.

Staff Week Kick Off Cookout

We are excited to have all of our staff and faculty back on campus. Join us in the walkway between Building 3 and the South entrance of the main academic building from 11am to 1pm. You will receive a hamburger (turkey and veggie options available while supplies last), cookie and water. You will also be given a LiveWell OU reusable travel utensil set while supplies last.

Tuesday, Aug. 3

Zoom Dress Day

Now that we are all back in the office, this is your opportunity to show off your favorite Zoom work outfit (business on the top/comfortable on the bottom).

Submit your outfit photo to ou-tulsanews@ouhsc.edu. Faculty and Staff will have a chance to vote on their favorite outfit and the winner gets a treat from The Merkle Café. Emails must be received by 9 am, Wed., Aug. 4 to be eligible to win. Submitting your photo via email will count as your punch for the t-shirt tally. Please be sure to get supervisor approval.

The Schusterman Library supports OU-Tulsa's academic community with collaboration, study space and information experts.

Popcorn and a movie at the Library

Join us in the Library from 11am to 1pm to watch SpongeBob Square Pants, receive popcorn and relax by coloring a beach poster or putting together a beach puzzle. This is a time to kick those feet up and spend time with colleagues.

Diversity, Equity and Inclusion: Explore, Learn and Reflect

Noon – 1 pm , Founders Hall in Schusterman Learning Center; RSVP limited to 30 people

During this workshop you will have the opportunity to learn about the Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. Participants will also learn more about the Six Week DEI Challenge that will relaunch this fall as well as engage in one of the DEI Challenge activities. Also by attending the DEI workshop, you can log in to the LiveWell portal and collect points under Social Wellness: Social Workshop.

Headshot Day

Stop by the Marcomm Studio anytime from 9 am until 4 pm for your free, professional head shot. Take 10 minutes out of your day to get a new headshot to celebrate your return to the office.

Professor Paws and Pals and Comfort Canines of Tulsa

Back by popular demand and hosted by OU-Tulsa’s very own Albus the Doodledore and Dr. Michael Baxter, take a break from your crazy first week back and stop by Founders Student Center to get some puppy love from Comfort Canines of Tulsa. LiveWell will also be there giving out LiveWell OU lunch totes while supplies last.
