Visiting Student Information (Non MD/DO)

Below are the applications for both Visiting Affiliates and Visiting Observers/Shadowers. Please fill out the appropriate application.

Visiting Affiliates (Fees Apply) - All non-MD/DO students who wish to complete course/program requirements. (NPs, PAs, Dieticians, vocational students, technical students, etc.)

All Visiting Affiliates must have preapproval from the department they are requesting before completing an application.

Visiting Student Information (VSLO for MD/DO)

U.S. medical students must apply to visit our program through the Visiting Student Learning Opportunities (VSLO) for the current academic year. Applications may be submitted through VSLO starting on May 1st.

Important Note: For the 2021-22 academic year, OUCOM will follow the guidelines released by the AAMC and the Coalition for Physician Accountability.

The Tulsa campus is not currently accepting international visiting students.   

Rotation Dates & Academic Calendars

 

Visiting MD/DO Requirements

Visiting students are required to provide proof of the following:

  • Verification of Current Immunizations
  • Personal Health Insurance
  • Professional Liability Insurance
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification
  • Verification of a passing score on the United States Medical Licensing Exam - Step 1 or Step 1 of COMLEX.  

Upon accepting the VSLO elective rotation offer students must agree to read, accept and comply with the following required policies:
