SCM Integrated Pre-Residency Program
About the Program
The School of Community Medicine offers an Integrated Pre-Residency Program to current SCM students in three different primary care fields. The program is currently offered in: Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, and Pediatrics, for OU-Tulsa students only.
The program provides an opportunity for participants to make better use of the 4th year of medical school to prepare for internship by allowing students to participate in a specifically tailored curriculum for their field.
The goal of the program is to increase the number of SCM graduates who complete residency in Tulsa and remain in Northeastern Oklahoma to practice while simultaneously preparing participants to be leaders in their residency program.
