A subcontract may be required if part of the research effort under a grant or contract is to be performed by an outside organization or institution. If a subcontract is involved on the project, a Subrecipient Commitment Form signed by the Authorized Official for the subrecipient, a statement of work, a budget and budget justification, along with any other necessary documentation are required to be submitted to ORS. The amount expected for the subcontract (either the subcontract's cumulative total or the subtotal for each year) must be included in the Subrecipient Commitment Form.
