OKLAHOMA CITY – The University of Oklahoma Division of Marketing and Communications, in partnership with the OU Health Marketing and Communications team, has been awarded a prestigious Heartland Emmy Award in the Commercial – Campaign category. The award recognizes their joint campaign “Never Done. Never Outdone.

The award-winning campaign highlights the life-changing impact of OU Health, Oklahoma’s flagship academic health system, where advanced patient care, groundbreaking research and world-class education unite to lift the health of all Oklahomans. The stories told through the campaign reinforce how thousands of caregivers, researchers and students work as one to transform lives and reshape the future of health in Oklahoma in ways no other institution can.

Over the last five years, OU Health has undergone a significant transformation to fully align the health system’s tripartite mission of education, research and clinical care, which is brought to life through the “Never Done. Never Outdone.” campaign. The campaign showcases OU Health’s role as Oklahoma’s premier asset in specialized patient care and advanced research. It spotlights an enterprise facilitating nearly one million clinic visits per year, offering the state’s broadest array of specialists and subspecialists for the most complex cases, alongside access to cutting-edge clinical trials, novel therapies and the latest medical advances.

Through these stories, the campaign amplifies OU’s bold ambitions under the university’s “Lead On, University” Strategic Plan to lift the health of the state, including reducing statewide cancer mortality by 10% in the next five years and decreasing diabetes-related complications by 30%. To accelerate these efforts, OU Health is growing its presence across Oklahoma, with new facilities and expanded services at Stephenson Cancer Center in Norman and McAlester, and a new Tulsa location set to open in 2028.

The National Academy of Television of Arts and Sciences presents the Heartland Emmy Awards annually to recognize excellence across five states in television for News, Sports, Daytime, Public Service and Technology.
