As a faculty member and/or staff at the University of Oklahoma, you are at a distinct vantage point to assist students in meeting their academic goals and to make an impact on their future success, playing an important role in the graduation and retention of our students.
In addition, you can identify students who may be exhibiting detrimental academic habits. A critical factor in helping students make the most of their educational experiences is to inform students of the impact of these negative habits and make them aware of available resources and support services.
We recognize that students encounter various issues which can influence their success in college. These issues may include but are not limited to:
- Major or College Uncertainty
- Academic Success Skills
- Personal or Family Concerns
- Financial Concerns
- Lacking a Campus Connection
- Intent to Leave the University
How to Make a Referral
If you know an undergraduate student in need of assistance beyond what you feel you can provide, contact us by submitting an online referral located here.
Our team will review each student to determine what assistance is needed to support the student’s success here at OU and refer students to appropriate resources on campus as applicable.
