Junghee Choi is an assistant professor in the Department of Educational Leadership & Policy Studies at the University of Oklahoma. He received his Ph.D. from Pennsylvania State University. His research examines educational policy, finance, and organizations, with a particular focus on topics relating to college access and admissions, accountability, government funding, and international comparative education. His work has been published in the American Educational Research Journal, Educational Researcher, Educational Evaluation and Policy Analysis, Journal of Higher Education, among others. He serves on the editorial boards of Research in Higher Education and Innovative Higher Education.
Junghee’s research examines education policy, finance, and organizations, with a particular focus on topics relating to college access, accountability, and funding mechanisms. He is interested in the role of money in higher education; how it constrains or opens opportunities for institutions and individuals and the tensions it creates with higher education’s public mission. He utilizes quantitative data and a variety of statistical methods, including quasi-experimental designs.
