The M.Ed. program prepares students for administrative, leadership, and other professional positions in higher education and other organizational settings. Students have access to an interdisciplinary and rigorous program designed to meet the needs of both full-time students and working professionals.

Masters of Education Overview

The M.Ed. program develops comprehensive expertise for various educational settings. Students master program development, organizational leadership, and administrative skills grounded in current research. The curriculum prepares professionals to create and implement effective educational initiatives across diverse contexts. Students will be exposed to significant and critical insights related to management, leadership, evaluation, finance, marketing, development, program planning, organizational transformation, and human relations.

Our program is interdisciplinary, and we enthusiastically welcome students from all undergraduate and graduate disciplines. No prior teacher education nor administrative experience is needed to be admitted into the program.

The program consists of the following:

  • Core: 12 credit hours
    • Administration of Adult and Higher Education
    • Critical Literature
    • The Adult Learner
    • Introduction to Research
  • Emphasis Area (or Concentration): 15 credit hours
  • Electives: 9 credit hours

Students must complete 36 credit hours.
