Message from the director

At the School of Sustainable Chemical Biological Engineering, we are deeply committed to serving society through training outstanding engineers and creating new chemical engineering knowledge through research and innovation.

Our graduates get hired by the most prestigious energy and chemicals companies, while our faculty receive top national honors, including a Presidential Early Career Award for Scientists and Engineers and two memberships in the National Academy of Engineering.

This spring, our AIChE student chapter is organizing the Mid-America student conference hosting hundreds of Chem E students at OU. Our graduate student body is the largest it has ever been, with over 130 students represented by the Chem Eng Grad Student Association.  Our new PhD program on Materials Science and Engineering and our new graduate and undergraduate certificates on Bioprocessing reflect our dedication to staying at the forefront of our field.

Our program has climbed 10 places in the U.S. News & World Report rankings last year, following a similar rise the year before! To keep this momentum and to strengthen our investment in student success we need your support. Your generosity will help us provide student scholarships and world-class facilities. Thank you! - Dimitrios Papavassiliou
