Please consult your undergraduate advisor in the Williams Student Service Center/WSSC for all advising questions regarding the undergraduate program. Should they need to involve one of the CS faculty members listed below, they will help to manage that effort.
The minors for Computer Science and Computational Technology are also advised by Kourtney Cortez (A-F) and Yura Jung (G-Z).
If an Accelerated B.S./M.S. degree in Computer Science is pursued, the B.S. portion and shared coursework will be advised by the WSSC (in consultation with the Sr. Undergraduate & Graduate Programs Student Services Specialists), while the M.S. portion will be advised by the faculty indicated by emailing cs@cs.ou.edu.
For formal advisement, online and traditional masters students must email the CS office (cs@ou.edu) and the appropriate faculty will be contacted.
This includes Accelerated B.S./M.S. students who are fully into the M.S. portion of the accelerated degree.
It is imperative that graduate students adhere to their degree checklists:
Ph.D. students must contact the faculty member who will be their dissertation/research chairperson for formal advisement. If no faculty member has been determined to be the chairperson, email the CS office at (cs@ou.edu) to contact the appropriate faculty.
It is also important to understand the expected timeline/forms set forth and managed by the Graduate College:
