Accommodated Exams

The OU Testing Center provides accommodated exam services to students who have been approved for accommodations by the Accessibility and Disability Resource Center and who choose to receive their accommodation(s) at the Testing Center.

  • Students confirm with their professor that they will take their exam at the OU Testing Center.
  • Students confirm the date/time they will take the exam at the Testing Center.
  • Students must schedule their exams as close as possible to the in-class exam time.
    • For morning courses: 8:30 a.m. or 10:30 a.m.
    • For afternoon courses: 1 p.m. or 3 p.m.
  • Students must schedule their exams with enough time to accommodate their extended time.
  • Students register through RegisterBlast 72 hours prior to the exam date.
  • If a student arrives at the OU Testing Center and the exam is unavailable, they must contact their professor, agree on a new date/time, and reschedule their exam (72 hours is not required for rescheduling).

Students use RegisterBlast to schedule an exam at the OU Testing Center. Student must schedule an exam 72 hours prior to the exam date. Professors are notified via RegisterBlast when a student schedules their exam at the OU Testing Center.

  • Online Exams: Add extra (extended time) exam time in Canvas, Proctorial,  and/or TopHat prior to students coming to the Testing Center. Complete one Proctor Form with a complete list of accommodated students, email to testing@ou.edu.
  • Paper Exams: Drop off Proctor Forms, Exams, and Exam Materials for every student with accommodations at least 24 hours before the exam date. The Testing Center will provide accommodations (extended time, etc.) once the students arrive for their exam. Exams can be picked up 2 hours after the exam time. Exams scheduled for 3 p.m. are available the next business day.

Dropping off/picking up exams can be done by someone designated by the professor. ID's and signatures are required.
