To qualify for a graduate degree, students must earn an overall grade point average of 3.0 or higher in the degree program coursework.
Deadlines to apply for graduation:
Time Limit for Degree Completion -
Students have five years from their first semester of graduate-level OU enrollment to complete his/her master's degree.
All students graduating from the University of Oklahoma must apply for graduation through the Graduation Application link on one.ou.edu. Students who do not apply for graduation will not be cleared for graduation.
The submitted graduation application will be valid for three consecutive semesters. Failure to graduate within three semesters of filing the application will result in the need to resubmit the application form.
All tuition and fees must be paid before a student can officially graduate and receive a diploma.

The OU Office of Records posts degrees to student transcripts about six weeks after the close of each semester. Diplomas are then mailed to students approximately 120 days after the close of each semester.
Letter of Completion
If a student needs proof of graduation prior to the posting of the degree or delivery of the diploma, he/she may request and Official Letter of Completion. The Letter of Completion is an official OU document, bearing the University seal, and can be used as proof of graduation for purposes of potential employment, promotion reviews, etc. If you need a Letter of Completion, please complete and submit the Request for Letter of Completion form (at the link under "other forms and documents"). Transcripts
Current students may access their unofficial transcripts at any time from their one.ou.edu accounts.
To request an official transcript, students must complete a Transcript Request form. All requests must be in writing and must include the student’s full name, student ID number, date of birth, complete address of where the transcript is to be sent, and an original student signature.
