All first-year graduate students in our program are required to participate in a course entitled "Introduction to Graduate Studies." This workshop/seminar includes both exposure to the research being conducted in the department (through this Faculty Research Seminar), discussion of ethical and practical issues of being a physics/astronomy graduate student, career directions, and a teaching workshop to improve the skills of new TAs.
The Faculty Research Seminar is held during the Fall semester every year. Check back Fall 2024 for more information!
