I’m a first-year PhD student with an interest in computational and condensed matter physics. My bachelor’s and master’s theses both consisted of computational simulations of molecular systems using density functional theory. My master’s research specifically analyzed electronic interactions between DNA nucleobases and titanium carbide MXene (Ti3C2) for the purposes of identifying possibly viable configurations for solid-state DNA sequencing.
