Before submitting an outreach request, please read through our outreach criteria.
Advance notice: Submit your request at least 3 weeks prior to the event if you would like the UCC to present one of the above listed outreach presentations to your group. Please allow for approximately one month notice if you would like the UCC to tailor make an outreach presentation for your group.
Audience confirmation: We are asking that each event have 10 attendees minimum as it adds to the learning environment and utilizes our staff’s resources. If you are unable to ensure attendance, we are happy to discuss other options that can meet your needs.
Desired topic: Please read our standard outreach presentation descriptions to see what best fits your desired event or if other departments would better suit your needs.
While the UCC will make an effort to meet requests, certain times of the year do not allow UCC the time or resources to complete outreach requests given with less than one week notice.
Requests for presentations can be made through our outreach request form or by calling our front desk at (405)-325-2911. Please do not send direct requests to staff persons at the UCC.

Mental Wellbeing for Women in STEM | This presentation on mental well-being for women in STEM will address the unique challenges they face, including gender bias and work-life balance, and provide strategies for managing stress and fostering resilience. Participants will gain insights into building supportive networks and enhancing their overall mental health in STEM environments. |
Mental Health and Grad School | This presentation on mental health in grad school will cover the common stressors and mental health challenges faced by graduate students, offering strategies for maintaining well-being and managing academic pressures. Participants will learn practical tools for self-care, stress management, and accessing support resources to thrive during their graduate studies. |
Recognizing and Supporting Students in Distress | This presentation on recognizing and supporting students in mental health distress will provide educators and peers with the skills to identify signs of mental health issues and offer appropriate support.
