What is a graduate certificate?
A graduate certificate represents completion of a set of courses that provides mastery of a specific area of knowledge and indicates an advanced, focused inquiry into an area of study. For a degree-seeking student, it may indicate an area of specialization. For a professional, it may provide evidence of special expertise.
OU-Tulsa offers nine certificates ranging from helping skills to management:
DATA ANALYTICS FOR INFORMATION PROFESSIONALS
Master of Library and Information Studies
Credit Hours: 12
The graduate certificate in Data Analytics will provide a formal indicator of training in skills currently in great demand by libraries and many other organizations and industries. The certificate curriculum is designed to teach students how to apply data tools to solve workplace problems and is appropriate for people who do not have a background in computer science.
DESIGN ENTREPRENEURSHIP AND REAL ESTATE
Urban Design
Credit Hours: 12
The Design Entrepreneurship and Real Estate graduate certificate is an option for design professionals to participate in an assortment of courses specifically centered on expertise in Design Entrepreneurship and Real Estate education. A total of 12 hours is required, consisting of 3 hours required coursework and 9 hours elective coursework.

The graduate certificate in community engagement allows students to explore how they are uniquely suited to impact their community by applying the science and evidence-based tools of community engagement to make a difference in the world around them. HELPING SKILLS IN HUMAN RELATIONS
Master of Human Relations

The Helping Skills in Human Relations graduate certificateprovides professionals with the knowledge and skills to improve relationships and to be effective and ethical helpers. Individuals who work in non-profit and business organizations, government institutions, the military, schools and universities, religious organizations, athletics,advising, personnel services, hospitals or any other setting in which helping skills are a necessity will benefit from this certificate.

The Human Resource Development & Workplace Diversity graduate certificate helps students develop the skills and knowledge needed to be successful in the contemporary workplace.
