Lieutenant Governor visits OU-Tulsa campus
Lieutenant Governor Matt Pinnell took time out of his busy schedule to visit the OU-Tulsa campus in December. He met with Interim President Jim Sluss to learn more about OU-Tulsa and how northeastern Oklahomans are served by the presence of the state’s flagship university.
“Mr. Pinnell and I had a valuable conversation about the history and direction of the Tulsa campus and all of the exciting developments coming,” said Sluss. “State leadership is always so supportive of OU-Tulsa and the impact we make in this corner of the state. Mr. Pinnell’s visit was an example of that fact.”
During his tour, Pinnell learned about the strategic direction of the campus including plans for the OU Polytechnic Institute. He toured the new OU College of Dentistry Delta Dental of Oklahoma Comprehensive Care Clinic and discovered all the ways this clinic serves dental health needs of northeastern Oklahomans. Sluss also discussed with Pinnell the university’s vision of expanding the Stephenson Cancer Center coming to Tulsa.
