Library staff members are teleworking from home to provide uninterrupted virtual services to the Tulsa Sooner community. Librarians have been meeting with students, faculty, and staff online via Zoom for poster consults, database instruction sessions, and citation assistance. Interlibrary loan staff have been working to fulfill requests for e-materials from other libraries. Library staff are also offering a twice weekly no-contact book pick up service. Books for research or leisure reading can be requested by clicking here.
In addition to supporting academic work and research, library staff have also been hosting events online. Library Director Stewart Brower has hosted Netflix watch parties to examine leadership in popular TV shows. Third Thursday, an interest group for arts and crafts, hosted the owner of Loops for a chat about knitting. Scholar Squad, an interest group for scholarly activities, has hosted meetings on how to work at home effectively and how to collaborate with others. Teaching Tuesday, an interest group for those who teach or are interested in teaching, hosted a meeting on techniques for virtual instruction.
