Immunizations, Compliance Requirements, and the Complio System

The School of Community Medicine uses a compliance system called Complio. You can read more about it on this page.  You will receive a detailed email at the beginning of April with info about using the Complio system. You are expected to be fully compliant by July 7th, but you do not need to start working on compliance items in Complio until April.

Vaccines
You will upload proof of each required vaccine to the Complio system.  You will work with the Student Health Clinic located in OU-Tulsa Student Affairs, 4502 E. 41st Street, Room 1C76, Tulsa, OK 74135 to complete any missing vaccinations.

To help you prepare for what is needed, you can review this form that lists all required vaccinations.  This is for your reference. You do not need to complete this form at this time.

If you seek approval of vaccine declination for any immunization, you will need to complete the form in Complio to request. This form will not be available in Complio until April 15.  Please take no action related to vaccine declination until that time.

TB Skin Test

The TB skin test is a two step test with the second TB skin test being conducted during Summer Institute on all new medical students. You will need to have the first step done 1 - 3 weeks before July 7.  You will upload results to the Complio System.

BLS for Healthcare Providers

As incoming Medical Students you will need to have your BLS for Healthcare Professionals certification up to date and uploaded to Complio by July 7th. You may take this course anywhere that offers the Healthcare Professional version. A couple of options are the Student Nursing Association here on campus and St. John's Medical Center who offer these courses at a discounted rate for SCM students.

  • OU-Tulsa Student Nursing Association ($40 cash or check)

We strongly recommend that, unless you have an external obligation requiring BLS certification, you wait until after April to complete this as it expires within two years of completion.

Other Compliance Requirements

The Complio System will require a drug screen, proof of several trainings, certificates, acknowledgments and more.
