I enjoy that I get to work with a wide range of people both within my college and across campus. I also appreciate the many opportunities for development and growth.
I think the most important thing about serving as a Senator is facilitating communication. We are often the conduit of information from leadership and other departments to our fellow staff members, while also conveying concerns from our colleagues up the leadership chain. Staff Senate helps ensure that staff members have a voice.
In addition to Staff Senate, I am also a member of the Staff Initiatives Committee.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family. Also, I love backpacking, hiking, and just spending time in nature. I volunteer with two Norman Boy Scout troops, a Girl Scouts High Adventure group, and with Norman Animal Welfare.
My husband and I have two cats and one very spicy Australian Cattle Dog mix.
