What I enjoy most about working at OU is having the opportunity to work with and serve students in partnership with colleagues who share my dedication to student well-being and success. Being part of a caring and supportive campus community that is open to and welcoming of people from all backgrounds is of paramount importance, and at OU I've found this.
As a Senator, it is important to me to seek out and listen to the voices of the members of our campus community, be they students, faculty, staff, or visitors. As a public research University, we play a vital role in the local Norman and Oklahoma communities, while also leveraging a global impact through our students served, programs implemented, and research endeavors completed. Consequently, it is imperative that we hold ourselves to the highest standards we can achieve and maintain, and that we continually strive for growth and improvement while also practicing self-reflection and an openness to change. I hope to contribute to this in some way as a Senator by being conscientious of the needs of all members of our community, and all people affected by the decisions we make as an institution and raising awareness with my colleagues so that together we can find solutions to the issues faced by those in our community. Collaboration is key to success, and by building partnerships and bridging gaps, I hope to make a positive impact.
I also serve on the Staff Initiatives Committee, and am a member of Indigenous Circle.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family and creating and enjoying art.
