I enjoy working in an environment where I feel valued and respected.
I am still seeking to understand this. The role of staff senator seems to be evolving, and there are many needs that exist with our OU staff. I am still committed to being a voice to those who are afraid to speak, and a champion for those who feel forgotten.
Professionally, I am the Associate Director of Military Initiatives, Assessment, and Research for the OU Division of Access and Opportunity. This means I am leading our new Military Connected and Veteran Student Success Center (MVC). I am on the leadership team with OU Black Faculty and Staff Association, serve on the OU Staff Senate Community Outreach Committee, on-Campus advisor for OU Intervarsity's Black Campus Ministries, and I am a President's Associate.
Spending time with my sons and the one who loves me dearly. Trying to get some sleep (not very successful) Volunteering with Sox of Love Inc. Watch OU Football Completing my master's degree work from OU.
Watching College Football and High School Basketball, and playing the Tenor Saxophone Singing at church worship services.
