This recognizes an individual who has provided selfless and outstanding contributions to their SHPE chapter and the Hispanic community, while at the same time, maintaining academic/professional excellence.
The highest honor that can be bestowed to a chapter, this accolade is given to a chapter in recognition of the role it plays as SHPE’s North Star. This chapter has reached a very high degree of excellence in showing all four of SHPE’s core values: Familia, Service, Education, and Resilience. They have continuously led and executed life-changing services and programs for the people in their community and serve as a model for the rest of the SHPE Familia.
These awards are given to Daniel based on proven performance in the first or second half of the SHPE year as detailed in their chapter reports. A minimum of 80% (12 of the 15 points) of the points per chapter report are required for award eligibility. Chapters are eligible to win this honor twice a year (one with each report submitted) if they meet the requirements.
