SHPE and Sooners Without Borders hosted the Engineers' Week Alumni Paint Night where we had interactive painting along with mocktails from the OU Gender and Equality Center's Consent Bar. We had so much fun celebrating Engineering and seeing familiar faces around campus again. With 175 people checked in, it was the LARGEST attendance of an E-Week event! Shoutout to OU Alumni Marcos Stocco for being one of E-Week's Keynote Speakers and hanging out with us at the paint night as well!

Volunteering Opportunities with OU SHPE!

Our first volunteer event for this semester is coming up at Loveworks in Norman! They are having their annual “Girls Event” and need help setting up March 2nd and the afternoon of March 3rd. On March 3rd at 4:30, we will be hosting a “Women in STEM” booth so if you are a woman in stem please sign up if you are interested! You also don’t have to be there the whole time. Join us at the Norman Second Chance Animal Rescue on March 26th from 10 am to 12 pm to give back to our local animal community! Volunteering tasks may include working in the shelter, exercising and socializing dogs or cats, restocking kennel supplies, or assisting the front desk needs assistance with customer service.
