The Executive Branch of the Student Government Association (SGA) is led by the SGA President and Vice President who are elected by all students at the University of Oklahoma. The SGA President and VP are elected as one ticket and serve for the duration of one calendar year.
Since 1969, student government at OU has allowed students to organize and make a difference in their education experience. The Executive Office is led by the student body President and Vice President. These two individuals are the official student voice within and outside of the University community. The EOP consists of 4 directors: Communications, Exterior, Inclusivity, and Interior. The officers meet weekly to execute initiatives across campus that enhance the student experience.
Weekly Meetings are held Thursdays at 4:30 P.M. in the OMU Room 191.
The Crimson Leadership Association Co-Chairs are chosen in late Spring by the out-going Co-Chairs and the Vice President at the time to serve the upcoming academic year.
The Crimson Leadership Association (CLA) of the Student Government Association (SGA) was established in 2011. CLA is a program intended for first year students to learn about SGA's structure and functions, as well as OU overall. CLA also connects students to campus resources needed to create a meaningful experience for their time in SGA while advocating for first-years on campus.
CLA will have oportunities to focus on different topics regarding the SGA and on campus involvement. Students will hear from various student and administrative leaders to discuss leadership and adapting to student life at OU. Students will also be partnered with a mentor chosen from select CLA alumni to gain personalized advice from students with unique experiences. CLA is also an exciting opportunity to bond with other first-year students who have a range of interests and backgrounds, but share a desire to make the most of their time at OU.
The SGA Vice President serves as the direct student advisor to the CLA Co-Chairs and members.
Weekly Meetings are held on Mondays at 7:00 P.M.
