NIH has issued an updated Data Management and Sharing (DMS) policy (effective January 25, 2023) to promote the sharing of scientific data. Under the DMS policy, NIH expects investigators and institutions to plan and budget for the managing and sharing of data, submit a DMS plan for review when applying for funding, and comply with the approved DMS plan. This training session provides faculty and staff with information about the policy requirements, data repositories, and budgeting for a DMS plan.
This session is focused on the phasing out of NSF FastLane and the introduction of Research.gov. The presenter will provide a comparison of the two systems and some insight into using the new portal.
