Summer Advantage Scholars
If selected as a Summer Advantage Scholar, OU will cover the cost of summer courses (in-person or online), book vouchers, and possible additional expenses.
Below are the details about the program:
Courses
SAS covers 1-3 OU Summer courses (in-person or online).
The Summer Advantage Scholars award is applied to a student's OU Bursar account to cover OU Summer course expenses. This gap award is offered to pay remaining balances for summer that are not covered by other federal or private funding. Once enrollment and eligibility are confirmed, scholarship monies will be automatically applied to your Bursar balance.
Book Vouchers
SAS covers required books and materials for your courses (Book vouchers are provided by Textbook Brokers).
Books and materials must be ordered through our official online bookstore. Reimbursement will not be given for outside vendors.
Meal Points and Parking Pass (for in-person courses)
Meal Points will be provided for students who are enrolled for a class in-person
A summer parking pass will be provided for the duration of the in-person summer course
Summer Advantage Scholars does not cover:
Housing costs for the summer semester
Study Abroad costs including housing, food, or travel expenses
Additional Bursar charges not related to summer Academic Tuition/Fees. Any charges in question will be reviewed individually at the discretion of GPS.
This opportunity is unique as students must meet specific financial and academic criteria to be awarded. It is not available to all students.
