The Haskell and Irene Lemon Division of Construction Science prepares students to lead in the construction industry through a student-centered, collaborative learning environment. Serving both local and global communities, we advance innovative teaching, impactful research, and meaningful support. Our undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral programs provide pathways for developing expertise in construction science, management, and related fields, with a curriculum that connects classroom learning to real-world industry challenges.
Each of my professors was incredibly knowledgeable and motivating… Furthermore, student competitions were a major success because they introduced students to the industry very early on. Most students left competitions with offers or with new contacts.
My degree means so much to me, being a woman in a field where women are so underrepresented makes me value this achievement even more. My degree is one more step towards meeting and empowering women in my field and hopefully inspiring more to follow.
Having courses that industry professionals helped develop and having professors that were passionate about teaching and driven to see every student succeed contributed to my success, as did the continuous cycle of improving courses as the industry changes.
