Traci Easley Williams

Traci Easley Williams possesses more than 20 years of progressive experience in higher education within the disciplines of film/television production, scriptwriting, visual media, and Africana studies. She began her teaching career at Kent State University (KSU) and was elevated to Senior Lecturer. Mrs. Williams has served as the Director of the Center of Pan-African Culture at KSU and advisor to several student organizations. She has also taught media courses at the University of Texas at San Antonio and is currently teaching fulltime at the University of Oklahoma in the Gaylord College of Journalism. Mrs. Williams has developed curriculum for multiple courses focusing on the imagery of people of color, feature film production, scriptwriting, and women in digital media. She has also written two textbooks to accompany her courses. Traci has over 30 years of working professionally in the television and film industry. Mrs. Williams started as a host of a teenage talk show on the Fox network while in high school. She went on to work on multiple feature films, music videos, documentaries, and TV series. 
 

Mrs. Williams has been married to her husband Dr. Ra'Mone Williams who is a Major in the United States Air Force for 22 years. They are the parents of two teenage children. Traci’s research as a current Ph.D. student focuses on culturally responsive teaching in media production courses.
